It is time to start a blog for my Makeup Artistry business!
So here it is :)
To be beautiful you have to feel beautiful. There are so many things we can all do to feel better about ourselves - in my case I love many things that make me feel whole and beautiful - what I love the most and makes me whole is playing with my kids -being a mom makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the whole world.
I cannot tell you how many women and men I know who say that 'you look good without makeup' and I don't know about you... but I want to turn myself around before I slap them! What's so bad about some bold merlot lips, or some very dark navy blue smoky eye, or contouring your face, or wearing fake eyelashes...?! I LOVE makeup, and so can you and you should too!
I want to start by saying that not everyone knows how to apply makeup, and perhaps that's why you may be hearing the ' you dont need makeup ' sentence... also, not everyone can be blunt honest and say 'yeah girl, you better put some makeup to brighten up that face of yours!' ... people sometimes have a very hard time being honest... so, this is where having a makeup artist friend, taking lessons, and trying new techniques, new products AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - take a picture of yourself... play such an important role in wearing 'makeup'!!
So my tip of the day is that to remember that the next time you want to do a makeup haul at your fave beauty counter, make sure you have them apply what you want, then ask them for feedback and recommendations, wear it and walk around the store - go into the fitting rooms, try on a beautiful dress or casual clothing whatever you are going for... look at yourself under different lighting... do you LOVE what you see? When so... back to the counter and purchase the item. I can't tell you how many times as a young teen I got wrong tones, or looked totally weird once I walked out from a beauty counter... Don't let your pretty pennies go to waste :)
